We have seen a great improvement with our daughter's marks and her reading level is slowly improving. My daughter really enjoyed Catherine as a tutor and we hope to continue with Book Smart Tutors next semester as well!

This company provides one on one in home tutoring with a choice of certified teachers or experienced university graduates at different price points. I find their customer service very professional and their tutors are very knowledgeable and dedicated. We live in newmarket,ON and I know it is very difficult to find tutors here. However, they were able to get my son two very good tutors - 1 for French and the other for Math. They would come once a week for each subject and my son has gotten about 10-15% higher on his grades. Price-wise they are very fair for their quality services. Finally, if you have to cancel the appointment, you will have to do it at least 6 hours before the appointment which gives me enough time to cancel it if my son is sick in the morning when he goes to school or when he calls me at lunch time.

Highly recommended!! Book smart sent our son a tutor who can break down complex problems into formulas that are easy to understand. He has incredible patience and he takes the time to develop additional practice questions to help you understand each concept. He is very easy to work with and he is extremely organized with his approach to teaching. He goes at your own pace and puts no pressure on you to rush through theories you may be struggling with. I It was very evident that he had my best interest at heart and that he was truly concerned about seeing me succeed.

My son needed some reading tutoring. The sent a tutor who asked us if we had any resources to tutor my son. I told her "didn't the company provide you with resources" She said no. The rate was great but if the rate is so low that you can't get a proper tutor than a low rate is not justified in this case. My advice is research the agency well before starting.

I had my first experience with Book Smart Tutors in Nov 2012. I received a prompt response to my inquiry. The staff was very professional and informative. Transaction to set up my tutoring was hassle free. The tutor was very professional and knowledgeable. I was very comfortable with the tutor and found the information I was struggling with became much more clear. I have since taken more scission and will continue to use Book Smart Tutors and highly recommend them.

My son had about 4 sessions with a tutor sent by Book Smart Tutors for Grade 12 Math and Science. He had a 30% improvement for his tests. All the additional exercise and tricks provided by the tutor is very helpful for my son.

Smart book tutors have been great! My tutor was able to get my marks up 15% is the first year. I have already recommended them to my family, and will continue to recommend them to all of my friends.

I specifically told them that I need a tutor that can handle grade 12 I.B. Chemistry. The sent a tutor that had very little knowledge of chemistry. In fact the tutor said to us that the agency enticed him to take the tutoring assignment even though he was not confortable with gr.12 Chemistry. They could not find a replacement and when we asked for a refund and they refused so I wasted all that money for nothing. I told the tutor to not bother showing up the next sessions as my daughter was faster at coming up with the answer than the tutor.
Waste of time and money. Beware this agency is desperate for your money but does not meet the customers needs.
Very poor customer service.

We had a horrible experience. The tutor was unprepared and came with bad accent the he was difficult to understand. When I asked for a refund they refused and said I have to stay with this tutor and that he does not have a strong accent!

I am very glad that I made the choice to go with them. My son was able to improve his grade from a C to a B in just 2 months. Now he finally got his confidence back and has been doing well ever since we hired a tutor from Book Smart Tutors.
